Rooted in pack & ship
MaxOut grew out of two busy retail shipping centers dealing with inventory, staffing, task follow-through, training gaps, and the daily reality of counter work.
Blackbox Solutions is a small software company built around one focused idea: turn real operational experience into tools that make stores easier to run.
For now, Blackbox Solutions is intentionally focused: MaxOut is the primary product. The company exists to give that work a home, tell the story behind it, and leave room for future tools built from the same operating philosophy.
MaxOut grew out of two busy retail shipping centers dealing with inventory, staffing, task follow-through, training gaps, and the daily reality of counter work.
The product philosophy is simple: respect how people actually work — shared tablets, busy counters, managers in motion, and owners who need visibility without hovering.
AI is part of the operating model: planning, design, coding, review, and iteration move faster when human judgment has serious leverage behind it.

Jason spent years solving operational problems the old way: paper sheets, spreadsheets, workarounds, and memory. With a background in network systems, web design, and small-business ownership, he saw the same pattern over and over: the business knew exactly what it needed, but the available tools were either too generic, too bloated, or too disconnected from the day-to-day work.
Blackbox Solutions is the container for that work: focused products built from field-tested operating knowledge, not generic consulting decks.
A store management platform evolving from a simple inventory app into an operating system for pack-and-ship centers: inventory, tasks, training, scheduling, time clock, communication, onboarding, and more.
Built around the operational problems we know best: keeping bins stocked, teams aligned, managers informed, and stores running smoothly without adding more chaos.
MaxOut started as a practical answer to a narrow problem: inventory counts for two busy stores. That constraint was a gift. It forced the product to be simple, fast, and grounded in real use before expanding into a broader platform.
Blackbox is not chasing AI for novelty. The point is leverage: use AI to think harder, build faster, review more carefully, and turn a clear operating vision into working software.
The work starts with what actually happens in the store, not the sanitized version.
Separate the operational core from the distractions, then make the core simple.
Use AI-assisted implementation and review while keeping human direction and taste in control.
Put the product in front of real users, learn what breaks, and keep tightening.
“Blackbox Solutions is not trying to be everything. It is a place for focused products, strong opinions, and practical systems that come from real operational pressure.” MaxOut is the first one.
